Founded by the Wilton family in 1893 under the name of Susquehana Castings, today's Wilton Armetale Company remains a family-owned and operated business.  True to its founding principles, each creation by Wilton Armetale® is still individually cast and hand-finished, to ensure it is one-of-a-kind.  Each piece is crafted of ARMETALE® metal, a unique, non-toxic, aluminum-based alloy.  Under normal usage, ARMETALE® serveware will not chip, dent or crack; each product is a solid piece of metal with no additional coating applied.  Two finishes are available: a high polish similar to silver, and a matte finish similar to pewter.
